Friday, September 20th – Jeff Gilbert Night of Celebration

09202013JeffGilbertJeff’s sister Tiffany and his buddy Patrick Powers, with other friends, will be hosting a ‘night in celebration’ of the life of Jeff Gilbert from Merrimac/Amesbury, taken too soon at the age of 23.

There will be a Memorial Ride, staging at the New Old Oak Pub, 74 East Main Street (Route 110), Merrimac, at 6:00 and leaving at 6:30 sharp, ending at the Chop Shop Pub, 920 Lafayette Street (Route 1) in Seabrook, begining at 7:00 p.m.  (Friends not riding on the Ride can meet at the Chop Shop Pub).  Food, raffles and live music.  Requested donation, $15 a person.  Can’t make it?  You can still donate in Jeff’s Memory here.  Funds raised in excess of expenses to be donated to www.RidersHelpingRiders.org.

5th Annual “Chic’s Ride” in Charlton on Sunday 09/15

09152013ChicsRideFlyerThe Worcester County Motorcyclists’ Survivors Fund brings you the 5th Annual Chic’s Ride, in honor of Brian Ceccarini, next Sunday, September 15th.

Staging starts at 9:30am at the Quarter Keg Pub, 443 Worcester Road (Route 20) in Charlton, MA. Kickstands up at 11am. Rain or shine – Non-riders welcome. After the ride there will be a Celebration of Life Party with lunch, raffles, and entertainment provided by DJ Mouth from 1pm-5pm. Tickets are $15, and all proceeds go to support the WCMSF.

To minimize the risk and maximize the fun of motorcycling, the Registry of Motor Vehicles sponsors the Massachusetts Rider Education Program (MREP). The mission of this program is to reduce the number of motorcycle related fatalities and injuries in the Commonwealth by increasing the statewide availability of Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) approved training courses for motorcycle riders and to increase awareness and education for both riders and drivers.

2013 Raffle Winner: $5 Turns into $4,100!

08222013RaffleWinner2One Chance, One Ticket, One Pull, and “PUFFF” – $5 turns into $4,100 ca$h to our 2013 Survivor’s Fund 50/50 Raffle winner, Dave H., of Salem, shown with Renee of First Ipswich Bank, Don Rivet, MMSF Treasurer, and Paul W. Cote.

Dave bought his winning ticket at the KevMarv Wilmington Bike Show. Jen S., of  Groveland won $50 of lottery tickets and “Ugly Mike” won 3rd prize – $25 worth of Lottery Tickets.  Thanks to everyone who sold and purchased tickets. Our 2014 raffle will start in November with the drawing at the 15th Annual Nelson’s Ride in August 2014.
